Who am I…

Who am I? Hmmm, good question.

I am a writer always working on one of many novel projects. I hate editing, but can’t stop creating strange scenarios to write about. My characters like to push the boundaries and see how far they can go before driving me absolutely mad. Recently I have found a love for flash fiction and crazy prompts.

I reside in North Texas with my awesome husband, two crazy kids, three cats and one gigantic puppy. I am a proud book nerd, music enthusiast, and shoe hoarder who loves to travel with my family and experience new things.

    (for your info, a Spikey is the term for folk who are part of the clan known to be followers of Uncle Spike 🙂

    Thank you… I really appreciate that as I for one, know how many interesting and entertaining blogs are out there.

    Blogging since June 2013, my aim is to deliver an eclectic offering of posts, from my ‘point n shoot’ attempts at basic photography, to the sharing of my travel adventures over the decades, as well as day to day happenings here on the farm. Oh, plus a few observations, opinions and lighter-hearted stuff thrown in for good measure.

    I normally keep to a couple of posts a day, maybe 3-4 at weekends if I have something special to share. But if you are at a loose end one day, maybe you’ll enjoy trawling through some of my older stuff too. I have added plenty of categories to help in said digging process.

      • That is no problem Amber. There is no ruling on how you decide the date. I started a fortnight from when I posted to give the first person time to do it and then went weekly for a month after that. These things can be altered to suit where you are. Glad you are doing it. Cheers Irene

    • Hi, it’s nice to meet you! It’s great to meet a fellow writer.
      I am doing NaNo, it was a lot of fun last year, which was when I took the plunge :). What’s your NaNo user name? We can be buddies. Mine is Ajprince.

      • This will be my first official time. I’m hoping to get at least halfway through a novel. I have so much unfinished work from over the past decade on my hard drive.

      • The hardest part is not giving up with NaNo. 50k seems so daunting that about a week or two in, it feels unachievable – but don’t quit.
        Your WIP shelf sounds a lot like mine. Writing is hard lol.
