Some things are just ugly.
Life sometimes gives you lemons. Some days life pelts those lemons at you until you feel battered and broken. Well, I have decided that I am sick and tired of all of these damn lemons and I have requested an exchange – I would like some limes now thank you very much.
This past month has left me very little mental capability to do anything fun. This means no writing – of any kind – has been accomplished. My poor manuscript. No editing has been done, I hate editing, but that is completely besides the point at the moment. And worst of all… no reading. Ok, well some. But very, very little. I am in the last chapters of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
And it seriously is starting to feel like the weather in my area is mirroring my bad moods. We have gone from icy conditions, to clear cool and pretty, to a thick snow day (thick for my neck of Texas anyways), icy conditions again, back to nice, back down to we are scheduled for ice again within the next few hours. Crazy right?
A week and a half ago the blogospere sent out messages upon messages about showing compassion in a world that could use a little more. So how is it, something so simple and easy as being compassionate, we live in a world with pockets of such ugliness? This ugliness has soured my world at the moment. It has pissed me off in ways I can’t even begin to describe.
Enough is enough, it is time to get on with something else.
On that note, my writing group is starting up a new blog that goes live March 16th. I think we are all super excited, I don’t really know because I have missed the last couple of meetings. Once everything is up and running I will share more information here.
Next week is spring break for my crew and I am really hoping that the weather warms up a smidge because we are supposed to be going camping for a few days. After the past month of stress for my household, we need a fun trip and I don’t know about you, but camping at night in freezing temperatures does not sound fun. With that being said, I probably will not get a chance to post anything next week. I guess today’s post was mainly to tell you that I am still here, kind of, and I will be back.
In the mean time, try out one of the books below, they are definitely worth the read.
Dead Flies and Sherry Trifle

Here is what I am fixing to read…
On Hearing of My Mother’s Death Six Years After it Happened
